In the absence of action
Breivik happens:
But they won't. And in the absence of thought or action by people of generally good faith, action by the more extreme and violent is assured.
I note that the French election results tend to support my assertion, in the immediate aftermath of the Utoya shootings, that Breivik's actions would be seen as an early harbinger of popular nationalism rather than a tactical blunder that increased popular support for the multiculturalists.
Nearly every time I read something Breivik has said about Europe’s “Islamification” being enabled by the Euro left’s ideology of multiculturalism I find myself thinking: “He’s right.”I live in Europe and I'm not sure that I know anyone, left or right, who still genuinely believes multiculturalism is viable. I know some very left-wing people who wish that it was, and who would vehemently oppose any attempt to fix the problems they reluctantly admit, but even they will confess, when pressed, that they don't hold out any hope of Muslim and African integration, much less the happy vibrancy promised by the multiculturalists. They mostly don't want to think about it and prefer to hope that the problems somehow goes away on their own.
This defines me instantly as a “right-wing racist extremist” and therefore both “insane” and “evil.”
I am not alone in my insane and evil right-wing racist extremist thoughts. I reckon that most Europeans think exactly the same way as me. It is merely that they are too afraid, or not allowed, to say so. But I am also certain that neither I nor the majority in Europe are right-wing racist extremists, nor are we insane or evil.
We are simply normal. It’s multiculturalism that is abnormal.

Us Europeans are facing metaphysical genocide with multiculturalism. Political correctness and its newest cognate, social justice, are all about deracinating people so that they can fit into the globalist, colorblind society. We are facing genocide. Brevik understood that.
Culture is what defines a man. We are not a mass of individuals but parts of our racial group. Out of the racial group, culture is formed. And in turn, culture forms the man. Without race, man becomes rootless and without culture. A man is nothing without his racial culture.
What do we got Vox, 72-48 Hours before a french cruise ship is sunk in the Mediterranean and war with Syria?
But I mind immigrants when their culture aims to destroy mine. Islam is just such a culture. It is enough to look at the Muslim view on women, gays, and Jews to understand that. I seem to recall that like the Muslims, the Nazis were not all that keen on the Jews. Nor were the communists, though the left has always tried to bury the fact.
I went to Takimag to read the article and came upon the above paragraph. Why did he have to insert that? It is enough to say you oppose muslim immigration because you don't want an alien culture in your midst. But when he goes and laments how muslims view women, jews and gays, he lost me. I am tired of so called conservatives having to couch their views in liberal terms to justify them. And the bit that communists weren't keen on jews, well that brought a chuckle.
If you want to preserve Western culture, just say it and don't be ashamed. You shouldn't have to insert liberal talking points to make your argument valid.
Call me cynical, Vox, but I expect wag the dog.
You forgot to mention the rise of Golden Dawn in Greece.
If you want to preserve Western culture, just say it and don't be ashamed. You shouldn't have to insert liberal talking points to make your argument valid.
They feel conflicted and ashamed because in the back of their minds they know what lead to the growth of Western culture and not to sound gay or anything but that was the spread of Christianity, no homo.
I am fascinated to see how Europe will react. In the short time I lived there I came to view Americans as paragons of tolerance and inclusion.
Say what you will about paganism, but an island of blue-bottomed wicker burners might send one hell of a message...
Also, I see your rejection of the subjunctive mood continues to unabated.
It is like the poor man's method of housebreaking a dog with these leftists and their policies. They have to have their nose pushed into the results before they finally get it. If they ever do. And they take us all with them.
Merkel said multiculturalism was a failure back in 2010.
Vox: And in the absence of thought or action by people of generally good faith, action by the more extreme and violent is assured.
Even when people of generally good faith do speak up, they are punished. From wiki's page on Bridgette Bardot:
=========================
Additionally, in a section in the book entitled, "Open Letter to My Lost France", Bardot writes that "my country, France, my homeland, my land is again invaded by an overpopulation of foreigners, especially Muslims". For this comment, a French court fined her 30,000 francs in June 2000. She had been fined in 1997 for the original publication of this open letter in Le Figaro and again 1998 for making similar remarks.
==========================
This type of insanity verges on the supernatural.
People who love justice have to sympathize with Breivik's actions. I cheered them - notwithstanding suspicions of this being a false flag operation. And I am an intelligent, educated, worldly, and very decent human being. Leftists can take their histrionics, shaming tactics, and globalist sympathies, and shove them up their filthy, fascist asses.
Is Charles Martel still viewed as a hero in French/European culture or has he been denounced by modern Euro leftists as a racist right-wing neanderthal? I'm genuinely curious to know if his victory at Tours is even taught in modern Euro schools?
"You shouldn't have to insert liberal talking points to make your argument valid."
11B, I didn't take it that way. He was trying to demonstrate to leftists why they will fail, and fail mightily. It was very necessary to explain to leftists, in their own language, the inherent contradictions of their own dogma. He did it well.
Suomynona's post above is a good one. I likewise have serious suspicions of Breivik's actual motivation. Taking his incoherent screed at face value, it would appear Breivik's outlook is that of a Norwegian version of a Neo-Trot (Israel first, wars to make Ummah safe for feminism/sodomy great, etc.) rather than that of a real nationalist. Laws like the ones in France cited by Suomynona are present in every single okrug of the EUSSR's prison of nations, including Italy. You can go to jail in France for mentioning mass-murder carried out by the Soviet regime in the 1930s. Why? It is "minimizing the holocaust". Homeschoolers are having their kids taken away in Sweden and Germany. They're now jailing folks in the UK okrug for twitter comments. Despite the massive volume of hard evidence, morons like Rich Lowry both here and there still pretend that places like the UK okrug are "free societies". Nothing could be farther from the truth. The only accurate description for such places is totalitarian. No genuine opposition political movement is permitted in such places, only bogus ones to sap funds and energy. More Breiviks are inevitable.
On a side note, I noticed the term "A.C.A.B" in Breivik's manifesto was lifted from an interesting source. Make of that what you will.
"You can go to jail in France for mentioning mass-murder carried out by the Soviet regime in the 1930s."
I'd think partly because some of the most vocal denial of any Soviet atrocities during the 60's and 70's came from the Etatarded elites in Paris.
But they won't. And in the absence of thought or action by people of generally good faith, action by the more extreme and violent is assured.
Violence is the norm not the exception. Violence runs the world and you know why. I can pray and fast but can't stop it until I leave this world I will live in the violence of the gun, rope and tongue for a short time.
Anyone that argues with you is a fool.
MultiCulti is little more than self loathing by psychologically and spiritually broken humans.
It is an "anything but me/mine" syndrome.
I have noted that Breivik has made great strides to stay, somehow, politically, in as many political camps at once as logic can stretch. He has refused an identity, making himself a sort of every/any-man. Which... is exactly how he planned things? Or did it just work out that way? No, I think he created his persona. Who knows who he really is. If, in truth, it doesn't matter. Sometimes you are nail, he chose to be the hammer. Saw a need to be the hammer? Something.
What opened my eyes to the evil of leftism was its view of islam. And then I found out they both hate the West, so it all fits together.
What exactly is "multiculturalism?" Is it like Korean people eating at a Chinese buffet? Or do the Koreans have to be sufficiently less squinty eyed as well as the Chinese buffet being acceptably more akin to native Chinese (peasant/privileged class? Who knows?!) dietary habits? Shouldn't "multiculturalism" be considered a culture of its own? Since it demands the destruction of all cultures to form a "melting pot" of sorts?
I have lightly skimmed across this idea here before, and I'm not sure how it will go over with ya'll, but I'll just come out and say it: perhaps this is just due to my ethnicity, but I feel nowhere as threatened by the Muslims as I am by the Western liberals. I've seen how Christians live in Islamic countries (and I've lived there for a year, on an internship with my uncle's company, wearing a shiny gold cross on a shiny gold chain displayed prominently at my neck) and I've also read and heard about how Christians lived, and still live, in completely secular countries. With this info and experience, it's clear to me that I'd much rather live amongst the Muslims than amongst the secularists.
The French speak of being invaded by Muslims, but what can I say? "Oh my, how terrifying!" But are these not the THE French? The same Frenchmen who chopped off more Christian heads, martyred in their faith to the Lord Jesus Christ, within a single revolution than the Egyptian Muslims have in the last century? And to think that they won't even allow you to speak of the Russian persecutions... why, their "Total Christians Murdered" score is so high they would make Diocletian himself blush!
I am no friend of the Muslims. But the secularists have a tendency to destroy everything and anything related to ANY culture, religion, authority, or art that is/was not set up by themselves and/or their ideology, whether it is good or bad, in an attempt to replace it with their manufactured and self-serving "good." And never will they allow even the slightest deviation to go unnoticed. It always needs to be "fixed."
"Multiculturalism" is more like "multi-culture-destructivism." I do not fear that they will be unable to refuse the Muslims -they will eventually have to at least make an attempt, to protect their "multiculturalism"- but I fear they may destroy the Christians by claiming that protecting "culture" (whatever that is... Chinese food, piñatas, rap-music, guitar solos, "multiculturalism," and so forth...) is a worthy enough goal that any excuse may be employed, however violent or cruel or unwise or foolish, in the protection of said "culture."
I'm sure this mendacious twit would insist that non-Muslim blacks make wonderful immigrants. I really despise Poms.
VIBRANCY ALERT!!!

That's what I do, I ring the bell then get a snack.
Where have all the trolls gone?
To their secret Troll Cavern to feast on children and imbibe whiskey.
Are the these last posts referring to me, or someone else? What's a Pom, is it a British dude? And I am not certainly not attempting to troll! And if that comment was meant for someone else... I apologize.
And no, the answer to the Trolls disappearance is Lodi and the rest of the Iron Guard killed their king, Goblinsbane, so they all fled.
I was commenting on the fact that liberal trolls have so far failed to come around to regurgitate their usual leftist bile about Breivik, multiculturalism and the intolerance of those awful Christians.
Oh... then I certainly apologize!
I wonder the same thing... perhaps they got tired of copying-and-pasting the same thing every day for several years... perhaps Loyalty Day celebrations ran too long...
Come to think of it, I've not noticed any recent troll activity around these parts. There has always been at least one troll on-call at VP who could be relied upon to immediately jump into all political or religious threads, from which much liberal-bashing would ensue.
Strange...

perhaps Loyalty Day celebrations ran too long...
No... How could I have forgotten... It's Cinco de Mayo! They must be out out celebrating diversity. I can almost hear them clapping and squealing in delight as the brown hordes in various stages of inebriation unabashedly wave the Mexican flag in their stupid pinche bolillo faces.
Of course! We all know celebrating foreign holidays makes you more caring and open minded! And the more foreign people love you... the more you... get laid? But of course! Chicks dig guys who are into slaving for recognition, and guys love girls who spend all their time hard at work, celebrating drunk with strange men.
(shhh... I really have no idea... but do mexicans even celebrate cinco de mayo? I live in Texas... didn't notice a thing...thought cinco de mayo might be like one of those "today we celebrate the invention of post-it notes," or something, sort of days- it's on the calender but no one cares...)
Are you serious? Google "Cinco de Mayo" Dallas. Here's a few events. Note the item on the sidebar, the Marching for Mota Saturday. It appears that along with celebrating their invasion of this country, they also plan to be marching to legalize Marijuana - at Dallas City Hall. It's a circus of freaks.
Oh my... and "Cinco de Mota?"
I'm not really all that supportive of the various bans we have on drugs. But if people are using their own country's political celebrations to push a political goal in another country (and an unrelated one, at that), when a great many of them cannot even legally vote in this country, what more can I say?
And haha! This sentence kills me: "The movement could also create a surge in Bob Marley and Willie Nelson album sales."
I suppose my avoidance of the media led to my ignorance of the "American Cinco de Mayo/Mota." But the phrase "ignorance is bliss" probably applies here.
Every time I stop by here the message is consistent; clear thought = truth.
Multiculti is an abnormality, a forced foreign worldview on peoples who cannot abide in it. It is unlivable.
Breivik's use of the pen as a weapon was interesting as he also choose a gun.
Moving on...I made sure to watch or attempt to read as much of the French debates as I could. If only pple could see there is a world beyond their little towns and respective times of Western media induced brain fog.
Perhaps, they'd wake up to the reality around them is far different than what they've been conditioned to believe in these insane academic ma-trick-ulation centers.
Ha! I knew it!

The comments section: "Why do Americans celebrate today more than the Mexicans? It's not a big deal across the border."
Well, perhaps a comment is the not the most reputable news source, but I am in a celebratory mood today as well, so I will say that I knew the liberals were up to something... Cinco de Mota... using a Mexican holiday to further an agenda, typical liberal ploy...
Ha! Caught you now potheads!

Actually it is not strange. It is the propaganda that the site is and at the same time afraid of truth. Truth doesn't matter any more if you were born after 1962! Generation X or Y or Z is nothing but a lie, perpetrated and indoctrinated by socialized schools. I would go on but it would be OT.
The trolls are too busy eating donuts.
What God has put asunder, let no man put together?
Babel.
My theory, which stands now with more evidence for than against, is that multiculturalism is - just like pubic screwools/gubmint edjumuckashun - doing exactly what it was intended: Dragging down strength with weakness. Subverters love this tactic...
Encourage the strong, indegenous population to become effeminate, spineless & lazy, then bring in plenty of third-world trash, then disarm the indegenous people. When violence inevitably breaks out ("terrorism"), you have the perfect excuse to crack down on the people & institutionalize tyranny.
The trolls are too busy eating donuts.
Anything is possible, but I Least expect donut eaters. I would more expect dumb asses like you, a real troll. NOW GFY. I would rather surround myself with donut eaters than you. But I can't kill you from here.
Now watch people I will be blamed for this. It is a popular meme and my pattern recognition is not blind. I have said nothing to piss anyone off. I deal with this shit at work too. F*ck you. I am too damn smart and they have nothing else, yet I will be deleted for protecting myself. TH MF better ever come here.

The blogger comments do automatic IP blocking of commenters identified as spam. Ironically, it would appear a number of the commenters rather enjoyed repeatedly engaging with the trolls.
I believe the comment at some other site was: "In 2050 Norway will either have prominent monuments to Brevik, or it will be the coldest Third World country in the world."
That would account for the noticeable decrease in ankle-biting yappers around here. Automatic IP blocking is a big advantage over the previous app. It's much better this way.
When in France, simply ask whether Stalin was a fascist. Was his murder of Trotsky fascism?
@ Myrmecodon
"I believe the comment at some other site was: 'In 2050 Norway will either have prominent monuments to Brevik, or it will be the coldest Third World country in the world.'"
I'm not sure I want to revive this thread, and I don't know if you meant this or your were just giving a quote, but just because the man may have been correct in assessing a political situation doesn't mean he should be honored for murdering people. Seems as bad as the libs- the ends justify the means, anything to build our "utopia"...
but just because the man may have been correct in assessing a political situation doesn't mean he should be honored for murdering people. Seems as bad as the libs- the ends justify the means, anything to build our "utopia"...
Statues are only erected to cold-blooded murders when they kill more than a one million people.
As for Breivik, violence was the ONLY means left for him, or anyone else for that matter. The multicult leftist have seized the system and will not allow any opposing views into the dialogue. They're effectively destroying the country from within. Breivik was not attempting to create any kind of utopia.
You appear to be confused about what erecting a statue in Breivik's honor would entail. I doubt the plaque would read, "For murdering a bunch of people." Hindsight is 20/20. This is people looking BACK on Breivik's actions and being able to appreciate the full scope of his actions with respect to everything that had transpired from that point onwards - not only exculpating him, but clearly showing that he was one of the few people to not only recognize the severity of the danger their country was facing from its traitors, but willing to sacrifice himself to expose them. Those he killed would have been considered casualties in the war on Western Civilization that they went on to witness for themselves, making him a brave soldier, not a murderer.
@ Suomynona
I have to disagree; our soldiers are not aiming and firing at people known to be non-combatants - or if they are, then this a problem we have that should not accepted.
Why didn't Breivik shook at the leaders of the movement he opposed? I would most certainty not approve of this at all, but this is further evidence that this fool is no hero. If anything, has he not opened up an excuse for those against his views to fire back? "Look, those islamophobes are crazy, we need to get them before they get us..."
I am sorry, but I cannot look back and think "well he had no choice but to fire on the youth..." in a clean conscience. I simply cannot just say "Well, the plaque makes no mention of his murders, therefore it stands for something else..." In that case, we may as well make a plaque of Osama bin Ladin. "He hated communists."
I do not know if you are a Christian, but it is far too much a twisting of the truth. If you are a Christian, then keep these words in mind:
"He who justifies the wicked and he who condemns the righteous are both alike an abomination to the LORD." -Proverbs 17:15
"Woe to those who call evil good
and good evil,
who put darkness for light
and light for darkness,
who put bitter for sweet
and sweet for bitter!
Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes,
and shrewd in their own sight!
Woe to those who are heroes at drinking wine,
and valiant men in mixing strong drink,
who acquit the guilty for a bribe,
and deprive the innocent of his right!" -Isaiah 5:20
We can't just look back and think "well, in retrospect, this was good for us."
*shoot
not "shook"
You can't predict what you will think when you look back! You don't have the benefit of 20/20 at this point. Wait 50 years. IF a statue is erected, it will be for recognition of something for which you cannot possibly be fully aware at this point in time.
They were all leftist scum. As to their youth, I've never actually seen a list of ages of those he killed. I have no sympathy for them. THIS is the extreme reaction one can expect from having no other recourse.
I'm not going to argue his tactics. He did what he did for the reasons he gave - or it was a false flag op. All I know is that if nobody does anything to change the direction of the course on which we're headed, the civilization built on those Christian values which both you and I hold dear will be destroyed.
What do you propose should be done about it, FHL?
I think we need shut down immigration completely- except perhaps for certain talented individuals. But really, I don't know. I'm very cynical in this regard. I see no way to change the course without committing a great deal of evil acts (violence and the like) and I would rather refrain. I take comfort, I suppose, in being an Egyptian Christian with most of my family still in the middle-east, in the fact that I know Christianity can withstand attacks from the world and flourish in a hostile environment through the grace of God.
I'm sorry, I did not mean to make it seem like you like were evil for approving of Breivik's reasons.
But when it comes to the current scenario of the world, I feel the same way that I felt in my Philosophy of Ethics class; there was always this question: "Suppose you were on a lifeboat with a doctor, a lawyer, a mother, a small child, and yourself. The boat can only hold four people. Who do you throw off?" I always hated this question and replied: "I would throw off the person who placed me in charge of giving an answer to this question and making me choose who had to die!"
If I was in Breivik's position, I would have waited and attempted to give my views some other way while praying for a miracle. Perhaps that is foolish, perhaps not. I hope that makes some sort of sense; I really don't have an answer, and I'm in no position to judge.
"Suppose you were on a lifeboat with a doctor, a lawyer, a mother, a small child, and yourself. The boat can only hold four people. Who do you throw off?" I always hated this question
You consider that question a dilemma? It's a no-brainer. Lawyers always go first. Always. But there's really no need to throw out anyone the way the question is stated. The small child and women are like one large man. Plenty of room for everyone. Even so, I'd still throw out the lawyer.
Haha! 'Twas my first thought as well. The question can be restated many times though, with whatever types of people you want, in whatever dangerous situation (3 parachutes, 4 people; 1 cabinet, 2 people, 2 velociraptors, and they can open doors).
What I tried to say was that I cannot approve of this shooting of liberals (I believe they were refereed to as "pre-teens", ages 16 or something like that) as a pre-emptive plan.
I couldn't even shoot into a crowd of people even if they were all adults. No matter their age, I can't just shoot into people hoping that the government will think "why, we should remove these people, who are being shot at!" Or that the public would think "Look at the victims. I never realized how silly their ideas really were before!"
Or even if they were the government agents themselves. What on earth could I say at the pearly gates? "I was saving the world, my Lord! That's why the 16 year-olds had to be in my sights and hit with lead!"
Perhaps you do not feel sorry for them. And you don't need to, you didn't know them. But this is the same exact tactic which has always been used by the left and secularists: "This is the only way." Since they have no hope in a God, or miracles, or eternal life after this one, then all things can be explained away as "necessary damages for the greater good."
This could get into a really messy and ugly debate, and I don't want that so I propose we cut it off here. Reply however you wish, but I think I've said I've needed to say. Is that OK?
Oh, another very quick analogy: it can compared to abortion- "they are getting in the way of our freedom- they must be eliminated..."
16 is not pre-teen. And the fact the you're not too clear about their ages is telling. You're only assuming they were all very young because of reports you've heard. Why wasn't a list of the names and ages of all the victims made public - you know, to really show what a monster this guy was to target them?
Oh, another very quick analogy: it can compared to abortion- "they are getting in the way of our freedom- they must be eliminated..."
No, there is nothing about this case even remotely analogous to the excuse given for an abortion. Here, you completely go off the rails in your already questionable logic.
I'm done.

<<>> I think we need shut down immigration completely- except perhaps for certain talented individuals. But really, I don't know. <<>>
FHL, I believe you would be well-served to read a lot more of the posts before creating posts yourself. Points to you for admitting you don't know the answer--but why argue on this blog at all if you just want to get your "violence is never the answer" bona-fides?
The point being made was that what YOU recommend is entirely and completely irrelevant to the political leadership of most EU and North American countries--illegal immigration is fantastic and it's racist to say anything different. This is what Breivik says drove him to the level of violence he went to--that there IS no debate *allowed*. So, violence is all that remains. And to those who say violence never solved anything--I'd ask the Jews who were alive at Buchenwald when the Americans arrived if they would agree with that statement. Or if they felt the Americans should have tried harder with the harshly worded letters.
@ Geoff-UK
Thank you for your post and your advice.
I was brought up in a tenement in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section of Brooklyn. My father was the landlord and he was well-known. He often hired black people to do cleaning, constuction, car-washing, etc.
My 2 brothers and I were Roosevelt liberals. We joked that dad was a hopeless "back number." We thought he wasn't resented by his neighbors because they weren't yet exposed to the idea of Jim Crow.
Now I have to re-examine my thoughts. My father never went to college. But he may have sensed the situation better than we did. He may have been less prejudiced, too.
